Prerequisites: Completion of Spanish I or one year of Spanish is a prerequisite for this course.
Description: In this multimedia course students will further their comprehension and expression of Spanish through expansion of vocabulary and grammar and the development of skills in reading, writing, speaking, and listening. In addition, the course provides exploration of Hispanic culture and insight into the Spanish-speaking world. Lesson topics include restaurants, telecommunications, shopping, leisure and travel.
NOTE: The StudentWorks Plus CD contains the BuenViaje Level 2 textbook with audio and the student workbook. Use this option if you prefer to have the textbook materials on CD.
Special Instructions: NOTE: Enrollments begin in May; coursework starts September 4, 2012. The spring enrollments begin in October; coursework starts in January. Students must have an email account. Enrolled students may be able to view course content two weeks prior to the start date. Students will be required to upload documents in Word 97–2003 (.doc) or Rich Text (.rtf) format. These documents can be created in Microsoft Word or another office suite that saves in the .doc or .rtf format, such as the open-source OpenOffice or Google Docs online.
Semester courses follow a specific calendar, and the normal 9-month
completion policy does not apply to these courses. Therefore, students who have not completed all work by the due
date for the course final (listed on the course calendar) will automatically be withdrawn from the course.
