Description: This course is designed for students who have not previously studied Spanish. Lessons introduce basic Spanish grammar and vocabulary and focus on greetings, school, food-related words and phrases, family and activities in the home, and sports. Activities provide students with practice building simple sentences and learning common idioms and provide them with insight into the language and culture of the Spanish-speaking world.
Special Instructions: Lesson assignments need to be created in Microsoft Word or another word processor that saves files as .doc (Word 97–2003 document) or .rtf (Rich Text format). To complete assignments, your computer must also have the capability to record sound from a microphone (listed as optional course material below).
Materials Note: The StudentWorks Plus CD contains the Buen Viaje Level 1 textbook and the Workbook and Audio Activities. Use this option if you prefer to have the textbook materials on CD.
