Description: This course continues the study of matter. Students will explore the properties of and reactions between the natural elements found on our planet, in our environment and in our bodies, as well as throughout the universe. Lesson topics include the periodic table; chemical bonds; organic compounds; solutions; and acids, bases, and salts. Students will submit lab reports for three completed lab activities.
Special Instructions: 

Lesson assignments need to be created in Microsoft Word or another word processor that saves files as .doc (Word 97–2003 document) or .rtf (Rich Text format). The same textbook is also used for the first half unit.
