Description: Keyboarding/Typewriting is designed to teach proper keyboarding technique, which is essential if computer users wish to maximize their output at a typewrtier, word processor, or computer. In addition to working on keyboarding speed and accuracy, students learn about the formatting of letters, memos, tables, and reports. This course requires students to have access to a computer or typewriter to complete progress evaluations and exams.
Special Instructions: Students will be required to upload documents in Word 97–2003 (.doc) or Rich Text (.rtf) format. These documents can be created in Microsoft Word or another office suite that saves in the .doc or .rtf format, such as the open-source OpenOffice or Google Docs online.
