Description: This course is designed to help students begin their college selection process. Through a series of assignments and online research, students will develop the skills and knowledge needed to make an informed decision about their post high school education. They will learn how to choose and apply to a college, understand the financial aid process and where to look for financial aid, and how to improve their study habits. Students will also develop a game plan to help make their first year at college a successful year. Because of the personal nature of the assignments, no letter grades are given; this course uses a Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory grading system. NOTE: In order to complete the Progress Evaluations for this course, which are structured as interactive Microsoft Word Forms, students will need to use Microsoft Word (version 97 or a more recent version).
Special Instructions: All required reading materials are included. Only 2 lessons can be submitted in a seven-day period for this course.

Lesson assignments need to be created in Microsoft Word or another word processor that saves files as .doc (Word 97–2003 document) or .rtf (Rich Text format).
