Description: This course provides an introduction to biology. Topics include the study of life, ecology, biochemistry, cells, cell structure and processes, and how cells generate, store, and use energy. Students will also learn about genetics and inheritance, DNA, chromosomes, and genetic technology. This first half unit concludes with a study of evolution and natural selection.
